6 Ways To Take Your Webdesign From Good To Great

When it comes to flawless web design, it's all about details that can be spotted only by top notch experts while usual visitors get that hard-to-explain feeling of admiration.

Intro
The difference between good and great webdesign is relatively small. The average person may not be able to explain the tangible differences that make up great design, but they can usually spot a design they like. By examining some awesome sites, I'll attempt to put my finger on some of the small details that make up the difference.
This post is chock full of awesome examples. I made a conscience effort to only pick sites that were great all the way around.

6 basic things you should know about search engine optimization regardless whether you are about to outsource it or do it yourself.

Why SEO?

NEC Eyeglasses Translate Foreign Languages

These glasses still sound a little like a concept to me, but several blogs are reporting their existence, so they're worth spending a little virtual ink on, so long as it's taken with a grain of salt. The glasses, designed by NEC, are the perfect international travel companion in that they take a foreign language, intepret it into your own language and then cast the intepretation onto your retina so that you're able to seamlessly speak with others (or at least understand what they're saying).

Robo Vacuum

He’s red and he cleans. What more could you want for Valentine’s Day?

Oh, I’m being silly, I know. But I really like the idea of this little guy. He’s a mini vacuum gadget that’ll pick up crumbs for you… or dust, or pencil shavings… small things that you could pick up yourself, but not without dirtying your hands. Of course you could remove these bits with a damp cloth or sponge, but water’s not good for wood, and besides you would get your hands wet.

Now, I’m being lazy. Oh, come on! I just like the Robo Vacuum because he’s cute, and crumbs anywhere are a nuisance…like in your bed, for example.

The Robo Vacuum is also available in black with stripes and white with stripes, if you’re too shy to buy the red guy….

But don’t get the idea that the two AA batteries move Mr. Robo Vacuum around by himself. You will need to guide him to the crumbs, but he will suction them up with a push from you, and when he’s done, just pop his top and empty the crumbs into the trash. Available at Amazon.com.
